Urban ArtWorks Summer Celebration 2017
Join Urban Artworks for our first annual Summer Celebration!
We are celebrating an incredible season of public artwork, including murals at the James and Cherry Street Pillars, Mercer & 3rd, and a successful 2nd year partnership with SODOtrack - all thanks to our talented artists, youth interns, and volunteers…
...with an onsite PIG ROAST! We will be roasting this little piggy all day and creating delicious fillings for our ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT taco bar that will also include a roasted veggie option. Rice, beans and salad will also be provided.
KEXP's Michele Myers will be spinning tunes from 8-11. The celebration will be outside on the patio of Bar Ciudad, which will also be open.
$10 for entry, $35 for entry+buffet dinner, 21+ only
All proceeds go towards Urban Artworks programs, so come prepared to generously eat, drink, and be merry!
Urban ArtWorks is a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for contemporary artists and local youth to work together to create public works of art. Our goal is to empower young people through professional opportunities in the arts.
Since 1995, we’ve collaborated with more than 2,000 youth to bring art to public and private spaces throughout Seattle neighborhoods. Our pre-employment training and subsidized employment programs foster a renewed sense of self-esteem, self-motivation and self-sufficiency in the young persons we work with.
