Join us for our first off-site class! Travis Stanley-Jones, owner of Mulleady's Irish Pub teaches us all about Irish whiskey. He's hosting us at his amazing Magnolia bar on the top floor. An intimate one-on-one experience from an expert.
We will be tasting three Pot Still whiskeys from the New Midelton distillery (Redbreast 12yr, Greenspot, and Power's John's Lane 12yr). Both the Greenspot and Power's John's Lane are not sold in the U.S.
We'll cover the rise and dominance of Irish Whiskey, the fall, and today the climb again
We will focus on Pot Still (particularily, the New Midelton distillery) that is unique to Ireland
We will look into why Irish Whiskey is not used and difficult to use in cocktails
We will create a cocktail together at the conclusion of the class.
