It's October, which means multiple films this month. Last year, SHRIEK brought you all female directors for October. This year's theme is Revenge of the Girl Monsters!

To join us for WE ARE WHAT WE ARE on October 8, keep reading and buy tickets from this page.

WE ARE WHAT WE ARE is the American remake of SOMOS LO QUE HAY, the original Mexican film. In the newer version, a family loses their mother to a mysterious disease, and life must carry on. But life is highly untraditional in this family. With knock-out performances from Ambyr Childers and Julia Garner as teenage sisters Rose and Iris, and Bill Sage in one of his creepiest performances as the father of the family, the film raises the household tension until the shock ending.

Check out the trailer here (some spoilers in it)!
