EVERYDAY UNSEEN: A YOUTH ARTIST SHOWCASE
With the enormous growth of Seattle in the past few years, new businesses and residents are flooding the city, but gathering spaces for community building and artistic design are closing left and right. Foundry10 is working in partnership with Nii Modo, a new art venue focused on highlighting underrepresented artists, to hold space for youth from in and around Seattle to present new creative works. If you have visual, interactive or performing art you want to show the world, Everyday Unseen is for you.
We hope that Everyday Unseen will model what a community art space that centers youth could look like. In doing so, we invite all members of the community to come support these local artists.
Nii Modo is accessible by wheelchair. Unfortunately there is not an accessible restroom onsite but we have partnered with a neighboring business to provide a wheelchair accessible restroom.
EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN THE GALLERY OR THE OPENING NIGHT PERFORMANCE, WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU THERE TO SUPPORT OTHER STUDENT ARTISTS!
Want to participate? There's still time!
Submissions are due by April 2nd, 2018.
All art types can submit, including textiles, dance, spoken word, illustration, painting, ceramics, photography, instillation, VR, or anything else! Accepted submissions receive $50 for participating and materials support is also available upon request. To submit, or for accessibility or general information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
