Synopsis: The intersection of 5th and 10th Avenues, teeming with cars, stories, nights and days, connects the four corners of Tijuana. It’s in this intersection that the road trip to Tijuana's Nortec Sounds starts, leading us to penetrate a tremendously alive city, with special flavor of well-seasoned music. Here, the Nortec encounter with the Agua Caliente band, formed by fellows from Michoacan, Sinaloa and Tijuana, appears to take place in the solar plexus of Tijuana. Director in attendance for Q & A session.

Live performance by Bostich + Fussible (DJ Set), two of the co-founders of the Nortec Collective. The Collective emerged from the burgeoning Tijuana electronic music scene, performing a style that they invented called Nortec—a fusion of NorteÑo ("from the North") and Techno—documenting the collision between the style and culture of electronic music, characterized by hard dance beats and traditional forms of Mexican music. In the past year, Bostich + Fussible, with their full band, have rocked major U.S. stages like Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and Central Park Summer Stage, as well as around the globe from Sweden and Germany to Australia.
