Seattle’s VibraGun mixes the hard-driving shimmer of early 90's british alternative with hips and swagger that would make Marc Bolan proud then slingshots the whole payload heavenward in a blast of cosmic rocketfire. Following the weird noise pop of their first EP, their 2014 eponymous full-length was engineered and produced by Evan Foster (Boss Martians, Dirty Sidewalks). The songs are rife with massive riffing, narcotic lyrics and midnight-drive adrenaline in songs such as “Send Me to Dream,” and was ranked by Huffington Post UK in their top 20 albums of the year.
Ealdor Bealu is a 4-piece atmospheric heavy-psych band from Boise, ID. With a focus on shifting dynamics from the ambient to the massive and back again, their sound expands beyond the boundaries of genre to create a mosaic of sonic praise. The band's first full-length offering DARK WATER AT THE FOOT OF THE MOUNTAIN(2017) has drawn local, regional, and even international praise as a standout in the realms of the ambient psychedelic universe.
Stubborn Son is a cold war-era radio gem. Formed in 2014 over three-finger pours and stacks of vinyl records, this Seattle based project sits nicely between the visual stylings of the 1960s and the sonic infusions of the '70s and '80s. The Fortunes EP (Nov. 2017) is the follow up to the bands 2015 full length album Birthright and is the unmistakable proof that Rock ‘n' Roll is not dead, its just has a new name. While previously rooted closer to soulful blues-rock, Fortunes has Stubborn Son taking a drastic, yet perfectly fitting departure. Layered with more melodies and groovier hooks than previous works, Fortunes lays back with more intentional space and freedom in songwriting and still delivers all the rock goodness of 1971. Based around distinct vocals, keys, synth and dusty old gear, Stubborn Son has created a unique yet surprisingly familiar identity with Fortunes.
