Candela directs films; Eva acts in them. Their love story unfolds in shifting time frames, from their initial passionate meeting on a film set through the ups and downs of their relationship. As Eva’s fame and successes multiply, her work-related travel ramps up until she’s away from home more often than not. Candela’s life also begins to change as she shifts her focus from career to family. Their world is unraveling, and the routine that has seeped into their relationship becomes unbearable. As they move toward a tense breakup, reminders of their love, commitment, and sexual passion call into question what they have become and rekindle what they could be.
