The Royal Room presents their second annual "Home for the Holidays" series, bringing
native Seattle musicians to perform a night of music.
Featuring:
Chris McCarthy Group presents the music of Fred Hersch
Performing with Nate Parker on bass, D'Vonne Lewis on drums, Xavier Del Castillo on tenor sax and Nolan Tsang on trumpet, playing the music of Fred Hersch.
Mulherkar Brothers Quintet
Featuring Riley Mulherkar (trumpet), Andrew Mulherkar (saxophone), Gus Carns (piano), Carmen Rothwell (bass), and Evan Woodle (drums).
Roxy Coss
New York City based Musician, Composer and Educator Roxy Coss is currently a member of the Jeremy Pelt Group and the DIVA Jazz Orchestra. She also leads her own Quartet, which has a weekly residency on Wednesday nights at SMOKE Jazz Club. Originally from Seattle, WA, Coss attended William Paterson University in NJ on a full Presidential Scholarship, where she had the opportunity to study with Clark Terry, Harold Mabern, Mulgrew Miller, Gary Smulyan, and Rich Perry, among others. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008 with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Jazz Studies/Performance. Since moving to New York, Roxy has also had the opportunity to perform with the likes of Clark Terry, Claudio Roditi, and Grassella Oliphant.
