The QLaw Annual Banquet is an opportunity to celebrate the diverse LGBTQ communities within the legal profession, to gather as friends, “family,” and colleagues, and to reflect on the victories of the last year and the struggles still to come. Each year, the QLaw Annual Banquet welcomes over 400 attorneys, judges, legal professionals, public officials, and LGBTQ leaders and visionaries from throughout the state.

This year, the QLaw Association is pleased to welcome the D. Victoria Baranetsky. She is general counsel at The Center for Investigative Reporting. Previously, Baranetsky was the First Look Legal Fellow for the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, a legal counsel at the Wikimedia Foundation, and served as the First Amendment fellow at The New York Times.  After graduating from Harvard Law School she received a master’s degree in philosophy from Oxford University and clerked for the Honorable Rosemary Pooler of the Second Circuit. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University, a graduate degree from Columbia Journalism School, and currently, is a fellow at the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia University.
