- 18+
You've seen the iconic Tom of Finland drawings, the black leather jackets, chaps, and boots. You've seen people in their leather gear, engaging in play ranging from gently sensual to intense S/M. And you've seen those hardworking bootblacks, giving it their all to bring a pair of boots to a mirror finish. But how did it all start? What is "Leather culture"? What does it have to do with sex and play? And can you enjoy Leatherplay if you don't identify as a part of the Leather community?
Join International Leatherboy Bamm-Bamm and International Community Bootblack Ruin for what is sure to be a raucous and rowdy good time, as they share a little Leather history, a little Leathersex, and a little Leatherplay. From questioning newbies to veteran players, all are welcome in this lecture, demo, & participatory session. (If you've got leather gloves and/or boots, bring 'em!)
When: 6:30PM to 8PM
Where: Annex
Cost: $20, $15 in advance. (No other CSPC discounts or AYCE cards applicable.)
About the Educators:
boy Bamm-Bamm, International Leatherboy 2012, has traveled around the world exploring his perversions, living in places like London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Bangkok, and Las Vegas. He is a proud member of the Phoenix boys of Leather, and is thankful to have found such a wonderful tribe of boys to learn from and grow with. Bamm-Bamm credits finding the core values of the leather community - respect, honor, integrity, and service - as giving shape to his life. As an educator in the leather community, he enjoys teaching classes about servitude for boy-identified people, and can also be found volunteering as a demo bottom every chance he gets. As a volunteer, Bamm-Bamm loves getting to do community service activities when he visits new communities, and finds it a perfect way to help bridge the gap between people.
Ruin-
Only 8 months into the Los Angeles kink scene, not knowing a gag from an ass plug, Ruin had an opportunity to vend at International Mr. Leather 2004. And so her Leather journey began... There've been many steps from there to here, including the move to Seattle, joining the Center for Sex Positive Culture, being introduced to The Cuff and Seattle Men in Leather, becoming a bootblack, and joining Seattle girls of Leather. She credits these things with her development into the wicked sadomasochistic Leathergirl she is today. She also credits Lee Harrington, and Master Skip Chasey with fueling her passion to be a kink educator. From a successful teaching career in mainstream communities, Ruin is delighted to teach in her beloved kink community. From bootblacking to D/s to striptease to yoga, she strives to make her classes accessible to all, and to be real and approachable as a teacher.
