This event has passed.

Be Forest. (Italy), The Stargazer Lilies (Philadelphia), Fotoform (Seattle)

In the spring of 2011 Be Forest‘s debut album, Cold, was released, causing an earthquake among the music press in Italy and abroad. Music zines started buzzing about the “Pesaro-scene”: a town on the Adriatic coast of Italy that gave birth to bands such as Soviet Soviet, Altro, and Brothers in Law (a band that shares Be Forest‘s guitarist Nicola Lampredi)

Since then Be Forest‘s sound traveled across the globe reaching the ears of many new fans, and convincing Japandroids to have Be Forest open for their European tour. After having performed an amazing cover of Japandroid’s I Quit Girls, going on tour with the band was an absolute dream come true.

Be Forest was born as a trio: the already mentioned guitarist, Nicola, was joined by Erica Terenzi on drums and vocals and Costanza Delle Rose on bass and vocals. Be Forest‘s melodies have a dreamy lightness as their striking feature. Live they are as magical as they are on their records. We are absolutely overjoyed to have one of the most amazing bands we know of play on our stage. Some of us were lucky enough to see them the last time they came through. I have to say words can't explain how it is to see them live, We think you need to see them for yourself.

The Stargazer Lilies are the brainchild of husband and wife team, John Cep and Kim Field, pioneers of
shoegaze’s new wave with former band Soundpool. The Stargazer Lilies is the evolution of their sound to include
many other influences such as early 60’s Girl Group/Spector Wall of Sound, 60’s Psych, 70’s Glam, Brazilian Bossa
Nova, 60’s French Pop, Dream Pop, Electronica, Contemporary Ambient etc. All these elements are filtered through
Cep’s heavy panoramic, widescreen cinematic approach to his guitar. Kim brings a dreamy breathy, whisper of a
voice, giving the overall sound a sense of mystery and mystic. Kim’s bass really anchors the sound in a most melodic
way as she utilizes drones, bass chords and bass harmonies, all of which really give the music sonic and melodic depth.

Live they sound huge. The experience is intense and will leave you wanting more. John's guitar sounds like it surrounds you on all sides. Kim's bass is thick and driving and it will take you on a trip in space and time. You won't want to miss them.

Fotoform a Joy Division/Siouxsie/Sound/Sad Lovers & Giants/Cocteau Twins stew that hasn’t lost any evocative power. With their Peter Hook/Pornography Cure bass, cascading pre-shoegaze guitar shivers, challenging rhythmic complexity, and the lissome, downy-tones of female singer Kim House, this a stimulating band 4AD, Factory, Static, or Korova could have signed. Imagine combining early 1980s 4AD with early 1990s 4AD sounds and layering it with some jangling rhythm guitars akin to The Church and REM, this gets pretty close to the magnificent sound that they encapsulate. Fotoform's LP was chosen as one of KEXP Listeners' top 90.3 albums of 2017. They are a perfect representation of the Seagaze sound. Featuring the founding members of C'est La Mort, Vibragun and a former member of the Fleet Foxes and current founding member of Little Penguins the band has garnered just as much attention.

Known for their intense live shows and infectious swoon worthy energy Fotoform have been blowing up. Headlining shows, selling out venues and making a huge mark in the music community especially with Shoegaze and Post Punk fans. Once again we are thrilled to have some of our favorite people on the planet on stage opening for one of all of our favorite band.
