Everyday Unseen is a free youth art gallery showcasing pieces of Seattle artists ages 13-19. foundry10 is collecting work from all mediums such as comics, zines, paintings, short films, music, and dancing to put on a one night event celebration. Doors open at 5:30 PM with performances beginning at 6 PM.

How it works:

Students from the age apply online for a spot in the gallery. Once accepted, each artist is given a budget to work on whatever piece they please. They are also given the opportunity to make buttons to sell. All profits proceeding their art go 100% to the student. Applications can be found on bit.ly/EverydayUnseen2019

Why:

At foundry10, we are interested in expanding the way people think about learning. Through our collaborative research, programs and projects, we address questions and issues that impact the process of learning, even outside of traditional educational structures. We believe it is imperative to work directly with teachers and students so that their voices are represented in all that we do. By reaching outside of standard institutions, and with a philanthropic approach, we uncover new ideas, methods and tools to bring greater value to all learners. Everyday Unseen is one of the ways we explore what youth are capable of when given the opportunity to explore their interests and talents.

Apply Today! Deadline for applications are August 26th. If you have any questions, accessibility inquiries, concerns, and other requests can be sent to artisticdesign@foundry10.org
