Hugo Literary Series 2019–2020 Series Pass

Fri, Sep 27, 2019 at 7:30pm

This event has passed.

A series pass includes tickets to all Hugo Literary Series events in the 2019–2020 season, reserved seating at the events, and access to a private Meet & Greet Reception with the authors before each event.

Meet and greet receptions will be held at Hugo House at 6:30 pm on the day of the event.

The 2019–2020 Hugo Literary Series season is the second in our new home. We’ve spent our first year here working to widen the scope of the region’s literary community, actively bringing in writers who are using their work to question, challenge, and rewrite the narratives our culture passes down to us.

Like many of you, we’ve been thinking a lot about the world we live in, about what separates us and what brings us together.

This season, we want to explore those separations: What is it that divides us from each other, from what we hope for, dream of, deserve, or crave? And what are we going to do about it?

About the Hugo Literary Series

The Hugo Literary Series presents new writing and songs from established and emerging writers and musicians based on a theme, or writing prompt, commissioned by Hugo House. The nights are collages of unexpected styles and different points of view, and the writers and musicians are encouraged to work without a sense of obligation, censorship, or stylistic frame. No one sees or hears the work before it is read or performed at the events for the very first time.
