Brittany Anjou is a Brooklyn based composer, pianist, and multi-instrumentalist. Channeling Duke Ellington to Bikini Kill in her solo repertoire, she is one of a few to record and tour with the elusive godmothers of punk, The Shaggs. In 2019, she released her trio’s debut album, Enamiĝo Reciprokataj, on Origin Records, to critical acclaim by DownBeat Magazine, France Musique, All About Jazz, earning the Jazz Times editor’s album pick of May 2019, reaching 112 on the Top 300 Albums on Jazz Week Radio. She is the lead singer of experimental metal punk band Bi TYRANT, and has shared the stage with artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Ernestine Anderson, Clark Terry and Elysian Fields.
