volunteerPark is a newly birthed Northwest jazz project from players Malik Friedman, Solomon Kruger, and Grady Spors. With Herbie Hancock as their greatest influence, the group offers jazz forms with an electronic timbre. While writing chord changes around chopped samples and incorporating talk box vocals, the group takes a synthetic approach to composition and performance. Friedman is on keys, Kruger on drums, and Spors on sampler, but they often bring in, as well as switch instruments and performance roles.

Opening the evening is milo venus, a singer songwriter currently finishing production on her debut ep set to come out in February.
