Born in Riverside, California, the oldest child in a military family, Arthur James has been traveling all his life. His songs are the landmarks of his journey and they paint vivid landscapes of the many thousands of miles he’s seen in a struggle to find the meaning of ‘home’.
His lyricism lends to his patience and attention to the substance of every song, with nods to his influences, Gregory Alan Isakov, David Bazan, Beth Orton, Brandi Carlile, Dolores O'Riordan and John K. Samson.
Aside from writing, recording and performing solo, Arthur collaborates with several Seattle area acts, playing lead guitar, doing studio session work, and he's a co-collaborator and co-founder of the collective, Lyle.

I Wish I Was A Punk Band is the solo expression of multi-instrumentalist Phil Hamilton which has created a new medium for vulnerability and escapism between him and his audience.  Utilizing lo-fi drum machines and stark vocal effects, IWIWAPB crafts intricate soundscapes under vague melodic threads to create dreamy indie / bedroom pop.
Hamilton’s first album, Takeda Bleach, was released in 2020 and pulls on wisps of nostalgia as it explores the memory distortions and biases of one’s youth.

Joining the evening for a short set will be Gabriel Much of Crystal & Quiet.
