South African born, Brooklyn bred at the New School, NYC, Ari Joshua’s music documents a spiritual journey of a prodigious talent and an all-consuming passion for music.  Look for the first released singles and a 6-song EP called RAaR online.  Ari’s interestingly complex and fun compositions are recorded/performed with numerous nationally outstanding musicians and well worth exploring.  Joining guitarist Ari Joshua will be three of Seattle's most popular and talented jazz musicians: Xavier Lecouturier, John Hansen & Michael Glynn! The modern jazz set will include mostly original music composed by Joshua.  You can expect interesting guitar riffs, layered arrangements, and a surprising variety of songs combining jazz elements with those of rock, funk, R&B, soul and electronic music. A show of  tradition fused with the delightfully unexpected. Come hear what the buzz is all about.

Xavier is a 21 year old, American, drummer, composer, with French and Mexican heritage. He is a Graduate of the Cornish College of the Arts Music Department where he spent his last four years completing his degree. In his four years in Seattle, Xavier primarily focused on developing a compositional and playing style that was manifested in his quintet. He has a commitment to the study and roots of the jazz tradition but also finds all the ways in which the things he carries can influence his music. The music he composes is drawn from the music he grew up listening to, including classical music, latin jazz, Mexican pop-rock, or pop.
