Award winning blues guitarist, acoustic singer/songwriter, and jam band artist, James Howard brings his electric and eclectic live show to the Royal Room in Seattle WA. James has been playing guitar for 46 years and teaching guitar professionally since 1984. In 2012, James won “Best Blues Guitarist” in Lee Ritenour and Yamaha’s “Six String Theory Global Guitar Competition“, with applicants submitting from 49 countries world-wide. The James Howard Band band also won the Washington Blues Society’s competition in 2016 to represent the Pacific Northwest at the prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee. In March, James Howard launched his "Into the Open Road" USA Tour 2022, backed by Kevin Cook on drums and Evan Flory-Barnes on bass.
