Herbie Hancock and Joe Zawinul are towering figures in Jazz, who inhabit a similar space in time and style-both came up in the afterglow of the Hard Bop movement of the 50s and early 60s, and went on to become enthusiastic pioneers of 60s and 70s electric fusion.
