volunteerPark is a newly birthed Northwest jazz project from players Malik Friedman, Solomon Kruger, and Grady Spors. With Herbie Hancock as their greatest influence, the group offers jazz forms with an electronic timbre. While writing chord changes around chopped samples and incorporating talk box vocals, the group takes a synthetic approach to composition and performance. With Friedman and Spors on keys, Kruger on drums, they often bring in, as well as switch instruments and performance roles.
Piano/Synthesizer: Grady Spors
Organ/Rhodes/Synthesizer: Malik Friedman
Drums: Solomon Kruger
Bass: Grace Kaste
Vocals: Ari Okin

Wanting to make his compositions come to life, guitarist/vocalist Markus Teuton presented his music to his jazz musician friends. When coming together the band presented an earthy sound while still maintaining the influences of funk and soul. Combining jazz harmony, rock grooves, and Indigenous melodies, Joint Souls creates music that is soulful and uplifting.
Guitarist/Vocalist: Markus Teuton
Keys: Kohl Hebert/Noah Brown
Bass: Solomon Lubell
Drums: Galin Hebert
Alto Sax: Ryan Featherman
Tenor Sax: Owen Gwinn

Singer songwriter Milo Venus will be opening the night.
