The Michal (Me-how) Palzewicz (Pow-Say-Vich) Trio hails from Ashland, OR, arriving by way of Warsaw, Philadelphia, and Portland.  In this fascinating trio the cello's classical heritage collides with folk-song elements of banjo and guitar while an accompaniment of mixed hand percussion and contemporary steel pan spark the embers of composition.  The group performs an enchanting blend of dynamic instrumental music, original compositions, and folk songs.  They've performed at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ashland Folk Collective, Juan De Fuca Music Festival, Sand Point Music Conservatory, and will be touring in support of Vol. 2, their latest EP.

"Crossing the North Sea" is a collaboration between Hardingfela player, Rachel Nesvig and Scottish fiddler, Brandon Vance whose repertoire explores the cross-pollination of fiddle styles that have developed as a result of the maritime trade routes between Norway, Shetland, and points beyond!
