Zander Knodt is a New York-based pianist and composer currently studying jazz piano at the Manhattan School of Music under pianist Jeremy Manasia. Zander grew up on Vashon Island and came to love jazz through listening to recordings of Oscar Peterson, Erroll Garner, and Keith Jarrett. In 2022, Zander received an award from the YoungArts Foundation for jazz piano performance. Zander draws inspiration from traditional and contemporary jazz as well as classical and popular music. The show will represent these interests by featuring a variety of arranged and originally composed material.
