Max Presents Playing With Power
Building a Healthy D/S Dynamic

Dominant/submissive relationships can be supremely satisfying: you get all the love and mutual support of any good relationship, plus all the power that's implicit in D/S.

They're not easy though.

D/S requires mad skills, goodwill, self-awareness, and a mutual willingness to be transparent and vulnerable.

Max has been doing consensual, deliberate, D/S since 1992. Not surprisingly, he has a lot to say about the topic.

Workshop format

This workshop helps you identify what you want from D/S, and provides advanced skills and resources for finding and nurturing your ideal D/S relationship.

There are exercises, tons of information, and opportunities for group discussion and Q&A. The exercises do not require that you bring a partner, and can generally be repeated at home as you continue to hone your desires and build your D/S relationships.

This workshop is part of the D/S Series Max has taught several times since 2013. Each class in the series can be taken independently; there are no prerequisites for any of the classes. Follow-on classes will include:

As with all of Max's workshops, a handout will be provided to facilitate your learning and retention.

Who should attend?

This workshop assumes no previous BDSM experience and is appropriate for all genders, all orientations, and for both tops and bottoms.

If you're partnered and considering / growing a D/S relationship, bring your partner! There's plenty for both partners to learn, and the shared language you'll gain in this workshop will improve your ability to communicate and negotiate.

Afterwards

Attendees will receive a handout full of principles, technique, and resources.

Max is also available for 1-on-1 or couples coaching to help you with your D/S.

Cancelation / refund policy

• If you cancel your registration up to 2 days before the event you will receive a full refund.
• If we cancel the event you will receive a 100% refund, to include ticketing fees.

Agreements

• No smoking or vaping inside.
• Refrain from wearing perfumes, oils, and scented products as our hosts are chemically sensitive.

Covid protocols

We are navigating the current guidelines and our own sense of safety and reasonableness. The protocol for this event is based on our own research and risk assessment; we encourage you to do the same before you purchase your ticket.

We will have HEPA air purifiers running in the dungeon. These air purifiers have been shown to reduce Covid-19 transmission.

There is no vaccination requirement for this event. Max is vaccinated and boosted and recommends that you be vaccinated to reduce the severity of your illness if you get sick. Unvaccinated people 12 and older are 17 times as likely to die from Covid as vaccinated and boosted people.  Reference 

Masks will not be required. You may, of course, wear a mask if you wish.

Please do not attend if you are exhibiting Covid symptoms or you are exposed to someone who has tested positive in the 14 days before the event.

Testing before attending events is a good way to protect each other. Max tests before each event. If you can, please test before you come to class.

Max has been active in Seattle's kink community since 1992 and has taught workshops and offered private coaching since 1999. He is nourished and guided by his strong roots in the kink, queer, leather and poly communities.
