David Miles Keenan and Nova Karina Devonie, aka "Miles & Karina", are uncommonly delightful artists that draw inspiration from mid-century music, art and architecture to create an original sound unlike any other. They use their musical imaginations to create sonic cinematic worlds for all of us to visit; leaving happier than when we arrived. These creative skills landed them several commissions for original film scores to silent films to which they play their compositions live - like the piano players of old but instead written specifically for each film. M&K have released 3 CD's of largely original music and their new film Talk Tale has been selected and nominated for awards in 2 film festivals this year. Tonight, M&K will present a short set of original music followed by the screening of their new film Talk Tale, nominated for multiple awards in 2023 including Best Feature, Best Director, Best Visual Effects and Best Original Score by the Golden Gate International Film Festival.
Synopsis of Talk Tale: Miles & Karina are talk show co-hosts on a nationally syndicated TV network in the mid 1960's and for this Holiday episode they have decided to broadcast the show live for the first time. Invitations for the show's guests and the network's Christmas party are sent to the printers who accidentally switch their locations, sending the wrong guests to the wrong parties and... it's showtime!
