In alignment with the 100th anniversary Gabriel Fauré's passing - impressionist duo Cédric Hanriot (piano) and Jimmie Herrod (vocals) reimagine the music and lyrics of Gabriel Fauré. Jazz pianist Cédric Hanriot, known for his transversal approach to music and critically acclaimed collaborations, and vocalist Jimmie Herrod known for his performances on America Got Talent and touring with international act Pink Martini, come together for their first endeavor, where their shared love of impressionist music flourishes through their shared language of jazz.
Together they explore the music of French composer Gabriel Fauré, interpreting classical repertoire with influences ranging from jazz improvisation to today's popular music, all with the intent of paying homage to the past and being a branch to the present.
Cédric Hanriot is a French pianist, winner of prestigious scholarships and international awards. Hanriot is known worldwide for his collaborations with Herbie Hancock, Terri Lyne Carrington, Donny McClaslin, and other big names in the jazz world.
