Emergency Management in Rope Suspension

It’s a matter of time until something goes wrong in rope suspension, will you be ready when it does? Most “Emergency Descent” classes focus on how to get the bottom down from suspension as fast as possible; this class will be different. We will identify the possible emergencies in rope suspension, discuss how dangerous they actually are, and how they can be prevented or addressed. Some commonly held beliefs may get challenged along the way.
The class will also cover:
- What to do after something goes wrong
- Bottom-focused communication tools
- Top-focused response procedures
- Common factors that make emergencies worse
This class is designed for tops and bottoms experienced in rope suspension. The format will be lecture and demo with some class discussion.

- Pay-what-you-can scholarships are available for all Pan Eros Foundation workshops. If you need financial assistance, please email Leah at education@pan-eros.org
- No late entry will be allowed due to the intimate nature of this workshop. Doors will be locked at 10 minutes after the start time.
- Water available. Please bring your own cup or bottle.

- Attendance is limited to 35 people.

- Gallery Erato is a historic building with limited accessibility. The main Gallery floor is fully accessible, and the lower level Studio currently only accessible by stairs.

About the Educators:
Nick (he/him) has been topping rope since 2015 and teaching rope since 2018. He loves creative suspensions, intense floor ties, and nerding out about rope techniques. He teaches kink classes and private lessons on his own, and with Full Circle Kink. He can be found on Instagram @Tie_Rope_Take_Photo and Fetlife @Provocations.
Val (they/them) is a bottom, kink educator and glutton for suffering. They specialize in improvisational play and maintaining in-scene relationship dynamics. They teach private lessons on rope bottoming and beginning rope classes with Full Circle Kink. They can be found on Instagram @valley_roses and Fetlife @ValleyRoses.
