Puget Sound Songbirds: Featuring Allison Preisinger, Fern Spores, Victoria Fragoso, Lilacseason

Allison Preisinger is a performing songwriter with songs reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Van Morrison with warmth to brighten up even an overcast Pacific Northwest sky. Standing Steady, the forthcoming full length from singer songwriter Allison Preisinger, is a stunning tribute to the power of stillness and simplicity. Written with inspiration from - and collaboration with - poems and poets, the record blooms from the nexus of two deeply human forms of self-expression. The journey of creating Standing Steady proved a balm for Preisinger's mental health, anxieties, and depression. It's fitting then, that an artist interested in using her work to be heard has created a record that allows others to feel heard. And really, at the end of the day, that's the most comforting thing there is.

Fern Spores is an indie-rock band that plays in the waters of blues, dream pop, and 60’s psych folk. Channeling heavy influences of Janis Joplin, Alabama Shakes, and Grace Potter they curate an inspired yet truly original sound. They are based in Olympia, WA and met at a local coffee shop. Fern Spores recently recorded their debut album “The Understory” at world renowned studio WAM in San Fransisco, it is set to release on 6/5/24.

Meet Victoria Fragoso, a talented singer-songwriter from Tacoma, Washington, who has created a unique sound by blending her Hispanic roots, classical piano training, church choir harmonies, and musical theater background. With emotional vocals and heartfelt lyrics, Victoria's music is sure to resonate with fans of Vanessa Carlton, Sia, and Regina Spektor.

After releasing her first EP, "This River," in 2019, Victoria continued to pour her heart and soul into every song she created. She is also a graduate of Chapman University's Creative Writing program and has a passion for special effects makeup. Her creativity shines through in her music videos and online content, as she brings her songs to life with her artistry and imagination.

Victoria has also used her music to connect with others, hosting live stream shows and a weekly talk show, "Tuesday with Toya," where she interviews independent artists and showcases her own songs on keys and ukulele.

In addition to her music career, Victoria is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and has used her platform to raise awareness about self-care and seeking help when needed. She is open about her own struggles with anxiety and depression and shares her experiences navigating the music industry while prioritizing mental health.

Victoria is excited to share her music with live audiences in Washington state. Make sure to also catch her on "Tuesday with Toya" on Instagram (@toyamakesmusic) every week at 5 PM PT to hear more of her unique sound and connect with the fellowship of artists she's proud to be a part of. Join her on a musical journey like no other, where together, you'll experience inspiration and build a strong community inspired by the healing power of music.

Seattle based singer-songwriter Lilacseason crafts songs with poetic imagery of plants and animals.  As you listen, larger themes of identity, diaspora, and the environment begin to emerge. Her songs have a quirky Neko Case vibe. Though shy and introverted, Lilacseason nonetheless wishes for her music to  bring people together, providing comfort and community within a chaotic world.
