Seating for non-diners is first come, first served. Please arrive early to guarantee a seat!

Sofia Goodman is a drummer, composer and bandleader residing in Nashville, whose work has been internationally recognized in the press. Since 2017, her group has toured the U.S and Canada, appearing at many notable venues and festivals, including USM Jazz & Blues Festival, where her quartet was the headliner. As a bandleader and arranger, she has developed repertoire for her trio, quartet, septet, and octet. Her work has been called “mesmerizing and compositionally rich” by DownBeat and she has been called a “splendid composer and drummer” by All About Jazz. The Nashville Scene noted Goodman is “something to be excited about in the evolution of jazz in Music City.”

Alex Dugdale was adopted from Cali, Colombia and raised in Seattle WA. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 2008, Alex studied saxophone performance at Eastman school of music in Rochester NY. He returned to Seattle in 2013, forming his own jazz quintet, and becoming a first call performer with many of Seattle’s finest bands including the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra and The Seattle Symphony. Alex received recognition for his talent and community efforts by the Earshot Jazz organization being awarded PNW Emerging artist of the year (2016) and NW Instrumentalist of the Year (2020) and Headliner Resident Artist of the 2022 Earshot Jazz Festival.

 

Alex is also a passionate educator teaching both tap dance and music as a full time teacher and guest educator for many Seattle area schools and districts since his return in 2013. Dugdale continues to record, teach and perform in the Seattle area, currently teaching tap dance at the University of Washington, maintaining an active private lesson studio, hosting saxophone/jazz workshops and perform with his own band and many of Seattle’s finest.
