Welcome to the new Body Rehab Body Doubling series with Aera!
January's In Person Body Rehab (this one!) will be focused on the Lower Body.
This in person event has only 8 spots. On Arrival you will be asked to sign an acknowledgement of the guidelines and a safety waiver. After registration you will receive the address. We hope you will join us! Read below to learn everything you need to know -
We will meet weekly in North Queen Anne on Sundays between 4:30pm and 5:30pm on 1/4, 1/11, 1/18 and 1/25
Arriving on time is important so we can stay focused and get the most of our time together.
We will come together and work on the rehabilitative movements to recover from lower body injuries, improve strength, and improve mobility!
There is no gym equipment here, so please bring:
+ A yoga mat or any cushions you need to do your activity safely, any lightweight weights, bands, or other non-heavy equipment you need.
+ Your own water and snacks if needed (there is space right outside the door to take a break, and we can place chairs out there for you, you can also use a sip valve to drink! Please do not bring tree nuts into the space.)
+ A desire to be with others and cross your homework off the list!
Please note that registration includes the cost for all of our meetings in January. The cost is $35 for this first series. Future events will have an increase in cost to $60. There are no refunds for any sessions missed.
This is a commitment to yourself to:
+ Do your Physical Therapy Homework, or other light rehabilitative movements,
+ Practice your Chair Yoga,
+ Actively Rest,
+ Stretch,
+ Build Better Routines and Habits to work towards a Better Baseline,
+ Get out of your house and be with people who want to Body Double and do their Body Rehab!
Our Commitment to Inclusive and Safer Spaces:
1. We are a Scent-Free Space. Please do not smoke or wear fragrances!
2. We are a Sober Space. Please do not use substances before or during these sessions, Please DO take your medicine if it is needed, but be mindful of how it impacts your ability to be safe when doing movement. We do not have medical staff at this event. This is not a Physical Therapy office, and you are responsible for your safety and ability to communicate your needs clearly.
3. We wear KN95+ masks to protect ourselves and each other. We also will take a rapid covid test the day of, or the night before, our in person gathering. We recommend FlowFlex rapid tests. Our Virtual Body Doubling Pods are another option for those who cannot wear a respirator.
4. We want a comfortable space to Body Double and focus on our Body Rehab, so please do not bring up heavy charged conversations (ie: politics, discourse, etc). Let's keep conversation light, friendly, and considerate of others in the space!
5.Dress for comfort for rehabilitative movement! Please do not wear political slogans or anything that could spark discourse or political conversation. Let's use these Body Rehab sessions to take a break and focus on ourselves!
Please be sure you can accept our guidelines above. You will be asked to leave and won't receive a refund if you show up and will not follow these guidelines. It is your responsibility to know what we are doing, why we are doing it, and to get any information you need to ensure the space can accommodate your needs. Accessibility Information:
1. The Space is accessible only by 13 stairs. There will be a Virtual Body Doubling Pod starting soon as another option.
2. The Space is scent-free. We will be using HEPA air filters with windows open, and monitor CO2 levels. This aligns with our commitment to Clean Air.
3. The Space has hard wood floors and chairs.
4. Street Parking is available for free in the neighborhood.
5. There are places to grab food within 1-4 blocks from the location.
Bus Information:
Buses #4, #13, and #28 stop within 0-2 blocks from the location.
The #4 has the closest stop within less than half a block from the entrance of the location.
