Wayne Horvitz 70th Birthday Concert

Tickets: $25 advance, $30 doors

Advance tickets can only be purchased online-we do not sell advance tickets at the venue. Refunds are not available within 48 hours of the event. Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. 

We are now accepting reservations for diners! After purchasing tickets, please visit the Reservations page to book a table. Table reservations require advance tickets, and are only for guests who plan to dine at the Royal Room.  We do not take reservations over the phone.

Seating for non-diners is first come, first served. Please arrive early to guarantee a seat!

The Royal Room is All Ages until 10pm. 

A belated celebration of composer Wayne Horvitz’ 70th birthday. Initially scheduled for September 1st, 2025, other musical activities made a postponement necessary.

The 1st set will be a potpourri of various musical projects including duos with Robin Holcomb and Alex Guy, the Royal We, Varmint and much, much more.

2nd set will be a very unique Electric Circus featuring Horvitz’ own compositions mixed in with the standard Electric Circus approach utilizing funk, rock, soul, and avant garde riffs from the late 20th century and beyond (Sun Ra, James Brown, The Meters, Los Lobos, The Grateful Dead, The Pointer Sisters, Sly Stone, The Bangles, Captain Beefheart, Beyonce etc. etc.)
