Reggie Garrett & Christine Gunn
Reggie Garrett & Christine Gunn are a musical duo of unparalleled emotion and virtuosity. Reggie’s lyricism in his explorations of the variety and subtlety of human experience are supported and propelled into flight by Christine’s dynamic and sensuous musicality. Reggie has performed throughout the U.S. and Canada for a number of years, both solo and with his band Reggie Garrett & the SnakeOil Peddlers. His 2023 album release, “York’s Lament & other stories”, climbed to #5 on national Folk radio charts. Also, “Stagecoach Mary” reached #12 and “So Far Away” topped at #3 (both songs from that album). Christinehas performed widely as a solo artist, creating richly layered musical tapestries with her looping pedal. She is a founding member of the bands Trillian Green and Gravity Quartet, and has performed as an accompanist to hundreds of bands, orchestras, musical theaters and singer-songwriters, both live and recorded. The duo are celebrating the release of their first CD collaboration, “The Road Taken”.
Carla Torgerson and Friends: Anne Marie Ruljancich and Gary Palmer
Carla will be playing with long-time musical pals Anne Marie Ruljancich on violin and Gary Palmer on piano. We will be playing selected songs from The Walkabouts and songs from Carla's new band!
Never a standard rock band, The Walkabouts defy genres as they seamlessly fuse rock, country and folk to reveal a rich andexpansive sound. Channeling Neil Young and Nick Cave, to name a couple influences, the band took their inspiration and churned out original and evocative outsider epics.
