Shania Twain, Tracy Chapman, Suzanne Vega, Carla Bonoff...their voices carried across the airwaves and inspired the eclectic tastes of Generation X (and beyond!)...one part folk, another part country and a little bit of rock bursting into the pop radio scene.

Featuring the styings of Amy Laybourn, jean mann, Molly Guardino, Kristy Smith, Sherri Jerome, Stephanie Robbins, Sue Quigley, Aimee Zoe & Georgia T.

Amy Laybourn is a musician and artist from Seattle, WA with a passion for creativity and community.  As a songwriter she embraces her 70s roots and delivers a sound drawing from the folk, rock and soul of that era. She released her first EP, Streaks of Gold, in December of 2025 and performs regularly with a band as well as with groups like Bushwick Book Club and Great Women of Folk and Country.  Amy is also co-founder of Acorn Collective, a local arts organization with the mission of promoting community through the arts.  Her music and visual art reflects our journey toward truth and light, reframing doubt and struggle with a message of hopefulness and love.

jean mann is a self-taught, late musical-bloomer, raised along the shores of Lake Whatcom in Bellingham, WA. She wrote her first songs around the time of her mother’s death in 1999, touring her first full length CD in 2000. She added Europe to her tour route in 2014. The award-winning singer-songwriter plays guitar, ukulele and harmonica to accompany a warm vocal range. She has 9 original albums in her repertoire. Off stage, she teaches ukulele and leads art/food/music mini retreats.

Molly Guardino (she/her) is a queer singer/songwriter from Eugene, Oregon who has been in Seattle since 2020. She has been singing for as long as she can remember and began writing songs in the 5th grade. Molly finds songwriting inspiration from her life changing friendships, steamy romances, and mental health challenges. Outside of music, she is a hospice nurse, year round swimmer, and snuggle buddy to her cats Rosie and Rye.

Kristy Smith started taking guitar lessons at around age 10 and studied with her first voice teacher at the age of 11. She has continued her study of voice, guitar, piano and ukulele and is currently teaching singing & songwriting as well as ukulele, piano and guitar for singers. Kristy continues to perform solo and in bands in and around the Seattle area and is currently loving the duo she and her husband have created called “Steve and Kristy Smith.”

One of Sherri Jerome’s main goals is to live a passionate, creative life. She is a Seattle based singer/songwriter/musician who fronts her original band Del Vox and has the honor of playing the role of Chrissie Hynde in the Pretenders tribute band, Jealous Dogs. Sherri can also be found playing bass in a variety of musical projects around town as well.

Stefanie Robbins has been singing for as long as she can remember and studied voice and music throughout high school and college. A longtime songwriter and performer, she has released two albums of original music, In the Sun and Welcome Her Back, available on Spotify and other major streaming platforms.

These days, Stefanie is focused on creating new music and exploring new directions as an artist. She is writing new songs, developing her guitar skills, and experimenting with fictional short stories and other creative work. She especially enjoys collaborating with other musicians and supporting fellow artists, and welcomes opportunities to contribute harmonies, backing vocals, and vocals for recording projects.

Series curator, Sue Quigley was raised in the nuclear plains of Eastern Washington, Sue stole her sister's guitar (abandoned for boys) at 13 and started writing songs about getting out of town and living another life. After graduating from college, fighting forest fires  and getting some heartbreak in, she settled in Seattle and started doing some open mics. Sue has performed at many of Seattle's most venerable music venues, such as the Tractor Tavern, Conor Byrnes,The Showbox, Sunset Tavern,The Crocodile and in several festivals and showcases including  SXSW, Viper Room,NYC's famed Bitter End, and a  showcase in Nashville. Sue also performed for 6000 Seattle Storm fans at center court, a definite career highlight!! She is working on new material and  excited to get these songs out in the world to do what they can do for the listener- that's the key for her, connection with the listener on emotions and issues we all share from time to time and how we grow from challenges  ( like pandemics) into who we're meant to be.
