The Royal Room presents our fifth annual "Home for the Holidays" series, bringing native Seattle musicians to perform a night of music. 

7:00pm: Chris McCarthy Collective: Seattle native Chris McCarthy brings an all star ensemble to the Royal Room, featuring Xavier Del Castillo on tenor saxophone, Aaron Tevis on trumpet, Nate Parker on bass, and Max Wood on drums. Currently based in Boston, McCarthy has performed in every Home For The Holidays since The Royal Room opened in 2011, and this show will feature a new book of original music for quintet.

8:00pm: Evan Shay's Lawful Citizen: Evan Shay is returning with the Seattle debut of his new project, "Lawful Citizen." The goal of this project is to explore electronic and acoustic soundscapes through composition and improvisation. The music combines elements from various contexts including free music, Post Bop era jazz, electronic music, punk, American folk music, and other genres. Lawful Citizen will include Evan Shay on tenor saxophone, Aaron Otheim on keyboard, Luke Bergman on electric bass, and Evan Woodle on drums.

9:00pm: Sammy Miller and the Congregation feat. Riley Mulherkar: A native of Los Angeles, Sammy Miller has become known for his unique maturity and relentless focus on making music that “feels good” as a drummer, singer and bandleader. A graduate of The Juilliard School, Sammy formed the Congregation in 2013 to bring joyful jazz – a music rooted in history, passion, and community – across America. 

Please note: Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table. Reservations can be made for those who are coming for dinner as well as the show. The Royal Room is all ages until 10pm.
