Aura Ruddell combines her background in Classical piano with traditional Japanese koto and taiko, crystal clear soulful vocals, and electronic sounds to bring to the stage a truly unique worldly soundscape that is accessible to all music lovers. This special event celebrates her first full-length album release "Ichigo Ichie", and will include Aura's entire band as featured on her album, as well as special guests including members from the Seattle Kokon Taiko group, and her young students on vocals.

Chelsea Coleman, singing-songwriting machine, was raised in a house that had a ‘piano room’ by parents who painted pictures and played folk songs. she was never not surrounded by good art, and she never had dreams that weren't extraordinary. She got her start in the church halls of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and through a long series of adventures ended up in the great city of Berkeley, California which she now calls home. Her heart, brain, and hands work hard, waking and sleeping, to bring you pleasing, intriguing, honest music. 

Made of Boxes is beautifully complex and syncopated, with magnetic, hard hitting lyrics. Their genre has been described as harmonic alternative but it's difficult to fit MoB in one specific genre. They hover between their many influences which range from Indie, Alt-rock, Electronic, Jazz, Psychedelic, and Ambient music. 

Please note: Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table. Reservations can be made for those who are coming for dinner as well as the show. The Royal Room is all ages until 10pm.
