Brittany Anjou explores Ahmad Jamal to Bikini Kill, singing quirky protest anthems between original compositions inspired by Bartok, Stravinsky, Red Garland and McCoy Tyner. Hailing from Seattle, she studied with Christina Shinkle (piano, jazz theory) and Susan Pascal (vibraphone) in her youth; after graduating from Seattle's Roosevelt Jazz Band ('02), she completed a degree in jazz performance at NYU and has been playing lots of super weird gigs on too many instruments in New York ever since. Her original projects include the Larceny Chamber Orchestra, The Brittany Anjou Trio, BI TYRANT (riot grrl experimental punk), and BEWAA (traditional Ghanaian xylophone), and ASTAMAEA (jazz for Arabic poetry).

She is joined by
Evan Flory-Barnes – bass
D'Vonne Lewis – drums
Brittany Anjou – piano composition
