After 15 years in the Pacific Northwest, singer/songwriter Lincoln Barr is set to depart in late spring of 2019 - but not without one more show at the Royal Room to celebrate his Seattle music community and say "goodbye for now" with immense gratitude.

Barr led rock band Red Jacket Mine for 13 years, playing hundreds of regional shows and issuing three albums that span R&B-influenced power pop to dusky balladry along the way. In 2017, he released his debut solo album, Trembling Frames, a collaboration with longtime producer Johnny Sangster and a stellar studio ensemble that included pianist Daniel Walker, bassist Keith Lowe, saxophonist Levon Henry, and Calexico drummer John Convertino. Set to a backdrop equal parts Great American Songbook and Angelo Badalamenti, the album explored Barr's own childhood trauma and its aftermath with haunting, heartbreaking results, and marked a creative and personal turning point.

Where Barr ventures next - physically and musically - is to be determined, but Seattle's mark upon him will endure. We hope that you'll join us for a night of top-notch songcraft and musical camaraderie.

Andrew Norsworthy:
“The (blues album) format allows Norsworthy to showcase his badass guitar playing, which is accompanied only by his equally strong voice and some foot tapping…If Zach Braff ever makes a follow-up to Garden State, Norsworthy’s intimate material would be a welcome addition to its soundtrack.” – Seattle Weekly
