Jonas Myers is a Seattle-bred jazz pianist who performs frequently at hotspots like Tula's, Vito's, Egan's, and The Royal Room. You may hear him from time to time on KNKX, and he plays three nights a week at Canlis. He is also a singer-songwriter who plays lots of living room concerts. His compositions encompass a wide range of styles and influences, including pop, soul, blues, folk, and funk, but his sound is primarily rooted in his jazz education. You might detect some Bill Evans, Thelonious Monk, Dr. John, or Brad Mehldau—to name just a few. Audiences connect with Jonas's lively energy, his lyrical improvisation, and the obvious pleasure he takes in playing music. Bassist Ryan Donnelly and drummer William Mapp join him in his trio, and together they create engrossing and joyous performances.
Please note: Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table. Reservations can be made for those who are coming for dinner as well as the show. The Royal Room is All Ages until 10pm.
