Consent & Long Term Relationships

Thu, Oct 14, 2021 from 7pm - 8:30pm (Pacific)

This event has passed.

What do you need to be consensual in a long term relationship? It may seem like easy questions, but it’s not. Many people, once they’re in a long term relationship stop feeling the need to talk about consent and what their partner or partners are actually okay with. Some folx stop thinking about it at all. This leads to resentment, distance, and confusion.

Join us for this 90 minute workshop to delve into what it means to practice consent in a long term relationship. We'll talk about issues that normally pop up and why they happen. We'll look at some tools you can use in building or rebuilding your relationship. And we'll examine ways you can insert consent into your life to make things safer and happier for everyone.

This workshop is open to folx already in long term relationships, those interested in starting one, and anyone who is just interested in consensual relationships.

Prerequisites: None. Consent Basics is a good class to start with if you want more information before delving into specifics. We will not be covering the general relationship practices as part of this curriculum.
