One Long Rope: Making a connection in floor bondage

Sure, you can learn fancy shibari harnesses from video tutorials. But while you’re busy perfecting your knots, your submissive might be wishing you’d just Master them instead. In this class, we shift the focus away from intricate patterns and back toward connection, sensation, and erotic flow.

One Long Rope is a hands-on rope bondage workshop that explores freestyle floorwork using a single 25–30 foot rope. We’ll move through a continuous sequence of transitions and positions designed to maintain contact, control, and intimacy. Rather than memorizing a pattern, you’ll learn to use rope for play, staying connected to your partner and present in the moment.

This class is intended to be hands-on, so bring rope, a partner, and a sense of curiosity. A basic understanding of the Single Column Tie is recommended; we’ll start with a brief refresher before diving into the sequence. Expect more time to tie, more chances to switch, and plenty of space for improvisation.

This class is designed for couples. You man attend solo, but be prepared to be partnered with a stranger for class exercises.

• No late entry will be allowed due to the intimate nature of this workshop. Doors will be locked at 10 minutes after the start time.
• Water available. Please bring your own cup or bottle.

About the Educators:

Tom Roper (Thiktool) is a Brooklyn-based rope bondage artist, photographer, and educator whose work blends shibari technique with raw erotic intimacy. Known for his nurturing “soft-Daddy” style, Tom focuses on floorwork, sensual restraint, and making kink fantasies real. Through his platform THIKTOOL, he creates vivid, cinematic scenes that center queer male bodies, trust, and beautifully controlled suffering.

Joel (tied_boy) is an experienced Seattle roper, rope sub, and fetish content creator. He has been exploring D/s and bondage for over 8 years, with a particular focus on functional ties for Dom/sub dynamic and sensation play.
