Join Virago on the balsamic moon for a night of powerful, progressive rock as we celebrate the release of Virago’s Lament, featuring Into the ColdBeyond Captain Orca, and special guests, DAIPAN Butoh

Virago is a lush, progressive rock project newly created by Jane Mabrysmith (Love and Fury, The Januariez, and formerly The Black Tones). The band features Amy Denio (Kultur Shock, Tiptons, The Tone Dogs) on bass/vocals, and Alex Dillard (Huey and the InFLOWentials) on drums/keys and Chris Gibson (The League of Crafty Guitarist North America, King Crimson Fall 2017 tour) on lead guitar. They recorded the basic tracks of their new album, Lament, at Studio Litho in Seattle and invited Alex Faide (Los Twang! Marvels), Gretta Harley(Love and Fury, These Streets), and Michelle Brayson into the mix for additional collaboration.

Virago’s Lament delivers a dark and moody mix of the whimsical and the ironic. Jane’s lyrics range from the surrealism of fake news in “To Believe in You”, to the irrational sense of loss from leaving social media with “Offline”. Amy’s bass lines and harmonies and Alex Dillard's drums and keys deliver eccentricity and attitude. The contributions of Alex Faide's preternatural guitar interwoven with Michelle and Gretta's soaring vocals provide sonic texture and depth that make this record a complete sonic experience.

Into The Cold (ITC) is a Seattle based art rock band that produces and performs music inspired by local artists (painters and sculptors). They will be releasing their sophomore album in May 2019.ITC formed in 2012 and quickly went to work on their debut self-titled album produced by ITC and Jack Endino. Their live shows were a shocking success right off the bat due to big sound of the piano/organ, guitars, rhythm section and 3 female vocal harmonies. ITC is also known for incorporating concert lighting, even for smaller shows. Featuring: Katy Cornell (inflatable Soule, Going South); William Stover (Dusty 45’s, Mark Lanegan, Cat Power); Gene Devereaux (Buzzfactor); Nikol Fiala (Carrie Akre, Hallowqueen); Denny Markopolis; Keith Jager (Metal Boyz); Jason Rubin; Kristen Halberg; Buddah (Sound Engineer- Queensrych, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden).

Beyond Captain Orca! plays in the peripheral field of your mind’s ear. This instrumental trio casts improvised yet intentional sonic spells imbued with vibrations of love and joy. Beyond Captain Orca! is Jack Endino (lead guitar), 5-Track (lead bass), Patrick Lenon (lead drums).
