Fresh from Denver, this insightful drama takes an unflinching look at sexual abuse and trauma while exploring the question:

"Can Kink and BDSM be used to intentionally help and heal people?"

A Kink in the Cure is a one-man performance centered on the personal stories of survivors who have used BDSM (Bondage & Discipline, Dominance & Submission, Sadism & Masochism) to help cope with past sexual trauma or shame.

Adding a shirt here, a cap there, picking up a flogger, rope, or even an accent, Tim embodied the spirit and vulnerability of each survivor in a captivating manner… He demonstrates the lessons learned in communication, the ability to overcome guilt, humiliation, embarrassment, assault, and more.  ~Kink and the Kitty

Do NOT miss this 18+ performance of A Kink in the Cure at the Jewel Box Theater at the Harry Mohney Erotic Heritage Museum. Playwright and performer Tim Murray will take you on an unforgettable journey through this ground-breaking work. Immediately following the performance you're invited for informal chat, where you can ask Tim for all his juicy stories or tell one of your own.

Inspired by works ranging from The Vagina Monologues to 50 Shades of Grey, A Kink in the Cure is an entertaining and thought-provoking exploration of using kink and BDSM as an intentional tool for healing.

This work has been presented at the Seattle Erotic Art Festival, Sin City 8, Amherst College, Cornell College, Blush & Blu, Gallery Erato, and the 3 Kings Tavern. Additionally, A Kink in the Cure took the stage as this year's feature performance at the sold out AASECT National Conference.
