FetLife is an excellent community resource as well as a handy dating site for the kink-identified and kink-curious. But wait! Community sites such as FetLife can be rife with bad dating strategy, both intentional and unintentional. Join Minx and LustyGuy, hosts of the popular Poly Weekly podcast and kinky dating geeks who have seen the worst that FetLife has to offer, as they show how to spruce up your profile, make a respectful approach to the object of your kinky affections and how to respond to not-so-great approaches.

With a few basic tips based on extensive polling and feedback from some of the sites' most respected (and hottest!) users, you'll find out how to get all the hot, kinky, poly or otherwise alternative ass (or connections, if you must) that you want!

By the end of this class, participants will be able to: identify common profile gaffes on FetLife, optimize their own FetLife profiles for best response rates, craft a clever and considerate approach message, respond compassionately to a not-so-great approach message.

Cost at the door: $25.

About the Educators:

Cunning Minx is the sultry-voiced producer and host of the Polyamory Weekly podcast, now with over 300 episodes in production. The podcast shares tales from the front of responsible non-monogamy from a pansexual, kink-friendly point of view. A kinky boobiesexual, Minx founded the show as a resource for the poly and poly-curious to form a community, share experiences and help guide each other on their journeys of poly and kinky exploration. Minx has been a submissive, bottom and otherwise generally non-dominant type for the past ten years.

Minx has spoken on poly, kinky and Web 2.0 community-building topics at ShibariCon, Geek Girl Con, CatalystCon, MomentumCon, Atlanta Poly Weekend, Sex 2.0, Leather Leadership Conference, Dragon*Con, GD2, Heartland Polyamory Conference, New York Poly Pride and Poly Living. The Poly Weekly podcast is the winner of the 2007 Erotic Award for Best Podcast and has received accolades from ErosZine, Fleshbot and the Chicago Sun-Times.

LustyGuy, the controversial co-host of Polyamory Weekly, has never been monogamous having lost his virginity in a triad during his teen years. He and his wife L have been non-monogamous for the past 30 years, and his outspoken ideas on relationship honesty and personal integrity have made him Poly Weekly’s most popular co-host. Coining phrases such as “experience shock” (to refer to unexpected poly freakouts) and repurposing “marking one’s territory” (physical reconnection with a partner after a date with a lover), LustyGuy brings the married male perspective to listeners worldwide.

A former pornographer and janitor at the Seattle LustyLady, LustyGuy is currently an actor, director, writer and producer. His production company, Battleground Productions, most recently released The Statistician, a short noir film examining U.S. gun culture with a surreal perspective. He’s working on his next one-man show, The Man who would be Porn King.
